Uncommon Happiness

Dzigar Kongtrul guides us through intelligent reasoning to identify our deluded perception of a truly existing self and shows us the key to awakening from this confusion and elevating above it. By teaching the essential meaning of the Buddhist Path in his commentary on The Way of the Bodhisattva and introducing skillful methods to employ, he reveals our wisdom mind and challenges us to meet and employ our intrinsic enlightened capacity. Uncommon Happiness is a testament to this brilliant teacher’s compassionate and compelling style that is saturated with advice from an adept practitioner.

We have to have a certain confidence that we can actually abandon negative habitual patterns.  There is the potential not only to renounce what is going on in our mind, but also to replace it with the enlightened mind that is reachable.    The Dharma points us to who we really are, what we are capable of and what we can do with our lives and minds.   The reason to be a genuine practitioner is to fully understand the wisdom of the Buddha’s enlightened teachings and be able to integrate our mind with them for the benefit of all beings.
