Temples and Terma Places in Nangchen

Most of these places figure in Blazing Splendor, the memoirs of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. My wife and I went on a field trip / pilgrimage armed with two horses and a nikon. Here are some of the photos.

A visit to Tsechu Gompa, the seat of Adeu Rinpoche

Khala Rong-Go, the terma site of Padmasambhava

Tsikey Monastery at the confluence of two rivers

The temple of the Chinese princess Wengchen

A visit to Fortress Peak - the retreat center of Tulku Urgyen and Samten Gyatso

Painted scrolls at Tsikey Monastery - Tangkas from the Tukdrub Barchey Kunsel cycle of revelations - large size, best for fast internet connection

Painted scrolls at Tsikey Monastery - smaller size of the above

We chose Fortress Peak for the front cover - it wasn't a hard choice. I explain it a bit on the Blazing Blog, the weblog for Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche's memoirs, where we gradually post these and other pictures with a little text, comments and references.
